Scania 「スカニア Sukania」 is a peninsula northeast of Britannia, being the place where the Nine Realms are separated.

Overview[]

Originally, Scania was an uninhabited land, without any sentient being, just ordinary plants and animals. All of that changed when the Supreme Deity and the Demon King exiled Ymir, Surtur and their followers.

Legend has it that Ymir's followers formed the Three Giants Clans and Surtur's followers formed the Fire Demon Clan. In addition, Búri, the first son of the Supreme Deity, would have been sacrificed, who ended up being sent to Scania as well. From his descendants, the God Clan emerged.

Buri supposedly had human followers. They worshiped the Sacred Tree and when they were banished, they ended up taking seeds. In Scania, a new tree was founded, which is called "Yggdrasil". From this tree, a new type of fairy, the Elf Clan, emerged.

Background[]

Past[]

For thousands of years, there have been huge wars between the Nine Realms and on occasion they have even been involved in the races of Britain. However, after thousands of years, the king of the Kingdom of Asgard, Odin, has managed to restore peace.

Future[]

As well as the beliefs of the people of Britannia that in the future would occur a new Holy War, the people of Scania believed about an event where all the Nine Realms would be destroyed, calling it Ragnarok.

Trivia[]

  • Scania is heavily based on Norse mythology.
  • Scania carries the same name as the Swedish province of the same name.
